Catfish on the Green

AUGUST 11-12, 2023

Registration deadline to guarantee yourself a hoodie was July 31st. If you would still like to register for the tournament and get a hat, submit the form below and bring $50 cash to the tournament check-in ($35 for youth 12 and under). See you on the river!

Rules

Please remember, the main purpose of this event is to help everyone make some great memories here in Emery County.   Please be courteous of the other fishers and the river! Also, PLEASE BE SAFE!  Following are some rules and requests to keep in mind as you fish:
INDIVIDUAL TOURNAMENT
  • All rules of the current fishing proclamation will be followed  
  • All participants must have a valid Utah fishing license that must be shown during the check-in process
  • There is currently no limit for Channel Catfish
  • We will measure 1 fish per person
  • Check-in starts at 3 pm at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum pavilions 
  • Tournament begins at 5 pm on Friday and ends at Noon on Saturday. Measuring will be at the Museum pavilion where you checked-in at.
  • Biggest fish will be determined by length. Measuring will begin at Noon and will be measured to the nearest 1/8 inch.  Host decisions will not be disputed and are final. If you are not in line by Noon your fish will be disqualified
  • ​If the Tournament is not canceled, there will be no refunds issued
  • Youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult with a valid Utah fishing license​​

2 MAN TEAM TOURNAMENT
  • All rules of the current fishing proclamation will be followed  
  • All participants must have a valid Utah fishing license that must be shown during the check-in process
  • There is currently no limit for Channel Catfish
  • We will measure 1 fish per person (2 per team)
  • Check-in starts at 3 pm at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum pavilions
  • Tournament begins at 5 pm on Friday, and ends at Noon on Saturday. Measuring will be at the Museum pavilion where you checked-in at.
  • Winners will be determined by total combined length of the teams two longest fish. Measuring will begin at Noon and will be measured to the nearest 1/8 inch.  Host decisions will not be disputed and are final. If you are not in line by Noon your fish will be disqualified
  • Teams may only place once.
  • If the Tournament is not canceled, there will be no refunds issued
  • Youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult with a valid Utah fishing license
