The Green River comes alive when the sun goes down. Catfish on the Green is a 24-hour overnight channel catfish tournament that tests your skill, patience, and grit from dusk to dawn and beyond. With dedicated Men's, Women's, and Youth divisions and thousands of dollars in cash and prizes up for grabs, this is more than a fishing tournament — it's a battle for bragging rights on one of Utah's most iconic waterways. Grab your gear, pick your spot, and fish the night away.

Please remember, the main purpose of this event is to help everyone make some great memories here in Emery County. Please be courteous of the other fishers and the river! Also, PLEASE BE SAFE! Following are some rules and requests to keep in mind as you fish:
TOURNAMENT RULES
- All rules of the current fishing proclamation will be followed
- All participants must have a valid Utah fishing license that must be shown during the check-in process
- There is currently no limit for Channel Catfish
- A map of the boundaries will be emailed out prior to the tournament
- We will only measure 1 fish per person. Please only bring 1 fish to the measuring line!
- Check-in starts at 10 am on Friday at the John Wesley Powell River History Museum pavilions. Fishing begins at Noon sharp.
- Measuring will be at Group pavilion 1 at Noon in the Green River State Park (your day-use fee is included with your registration)
- Biggest fish will be determined by length. Measuring will begin at 2 pm sharp and will be measured to the nearest 1/8 inch. Host decisions will not be disputed and are final. If you are not in line by 2 your fish will be disqualified
- If the Tournament is not canceled, there will be no refunds issued
- If you will be using a motorized vessel you are required to take the state Mussel-aware certification course.
- Youth under 12 must be accompanied by an adult with a valid Utah fishing license

Your registration includes the event's custom lightweight hoodies, day use into the State Park for measuring, and a ticket into the YOUTH drawing. Tickets for the separate fundraiser drawing can be pre-purchased here or day of.
